    NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College softball team wrapped up its season in style in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader sweep of Elms on Sunday afternoon at the Shea Softball Complex. The Falcons shut out the Blazers, 4-0 behind stellar pitching from Amanda Savinelli (New Haven, Conn.) and Paige Scheid (Cedar Grove, N.J.) had six hits in the doubleheader, including three in game two in an 8-3 win.

    In a doubleheader split, the Albertus Magnus College baseball team battled in a pair of back-to-back matchups on the road at Great Northeast Athletic Conference in-state rival University of Saint Joseph's (Conn.) on Saturday. The Falcons rallied back from a two-run deficit in the seventh following a tough 6-5 loss after twelve innings in game one, while Albertus snatched a game-two victory, 5-4, in the final frame.
  • Witt Places Top 10 at Elms Invitational, Men's Golf Finishes Seventh Overall

    Sam Witt (Calgary, Alberta) placed 10th among 40 golfers with a nine-over par 81 as the Albertus Magnus College men's golf team finished seventh out of eight teams with a combined 359 strokes at the Elms College Invitational on Saturday. New England College came out on top with a team score of 324, followed by Westfield State University and Western New England University rounding out the top three as both teams fired a 331.
