Postseason Begins
The Albertus Magnus College baseball team posted a 4-13 overall record in the 2021 regular season with a 3-11 mark in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play. After an unconventional regular season, the Falcons were slotted fourth in the GNAC standings heading into the league's championship tournament, which earned them a first-round matchup against the fifth-seeded Cadets of Norwich University.

The Falcons and Cadets will begin the 2021 GNAC Tournament on Wednesday, May 5, at 7:00 p.m. at Hamden High School. The first-round features one single-elimination game, with the winner next challenging top-seeded Anna Maria College on the road on Thursday, May 6.

The GNAC Championship will be decided with a best 2-of-3 series on Saturday-Sunday, May 8-9.

Postseason Notes

• Albertus Magnus is making its 22nd appearance in the GNAC Tournament and is in search of the third conference title in program history.
• The Falcons have qualified for the last two GNAC Tournaments.
• Albertus is 16-24 all-time in the event and is searching for the team's first league title since 2003.

2021 Recap

• The Falcons opened the year with a split against third-seeded Lasell University on March 27, winning the first game by a 7-5 final score.
• AMC tallied its second league win on April 11, again besting the Lasers, 6-3, on the road.
• The Falcons finally played their first home game of the season on April 14, taking one of two against a tough Fisher College program.
• After a rough patch of games against top-seeded Anna Maria College, second-seeded Johnson & Wales University (RI), and nationally-ranked Eastern Connecticut State University, Albertus earned a road doubleheader split against JWU on May 1 to end the regular season.
