Elaina Mirto (West Haven, Conn.) went 3-for-4 with an RBI as the Albertus Magnus softball team downed Rivier 14-5 in GNAC play.

The Falcons improve to 7-11 overall and 3-7 in the league standings with the victory.

Aimee Mirto (Hamden, Conn.) added a 3-for-5 performance with three RBI for the Falcons, while Danielle Figueroa (Bridgeport, Conn.) went 2-for-4 with four runs scored and two stolen bases.

The Falcons scored five runs in the second inning to take an early lead. They added a three-run fifth inning then scored four more runs in the seventh en route to the league victory.

Melissa Manning (Milford, Conn.) allowed five runs and seven hits, while she walked five batters in the win. Nadjeska Reynolds went 5.2 innings, while allowing 10 hits and 10 runs. She also struck out seven for the Raiders in the loss.

Krista LaBissoniere also registered two hits along with three runs and one RBI for the Falcons.
