Norwich blanked the Albertus Magnus softball team 3-0 in game one of a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.  

Abby Belcher led the way for the Cadets with a 3-for-4 performance, while Kelly Travers went 1-for-4 with one RBI. 

Norwich scored one run in the first, third and fifth innings en route to its 3-0 victory.

Brittney Urciuoli (Newington, Conn.) led the Falcons with two hits, while Aimee Mirto (Hamden, Conn.) went 2-for-2 with a walk.

Amanda Green (Shelton, Conn.) picked up the loss to fall to 1-1 on the year as she allowed six hits and three runs in the complete game.  She also walked two batters.  Norwich's Kaylie Miller earned the win as she picked up the shutout by allowing six hits and striking out three batters.
