The Falcons (9-8 overall) scored nine runs on four hits and three CNR errors to take the early lead.  Paula Mancinelli (Montville, N.J.) walked in a run for the Falcons as well, while two errors and a Michelle Barillaro (Meriden, Conn.) fielder's choice also contributed to the Falcons' run tally.

The Falcons added two runs in the top of the third inning thanks to RBI singles from Devon DeLallo (Redding, Conn.) and Mancinelli.

Albertus added its final two runs of the contest in the fifth inning as Macinelli reached based on a fielder's choice as Brianna Longley (Milford, Conn.) scored before Shyleen Ortiz connected for an RBI single to put Albertus ahead 13-0.
