Freshman Amanda Jessey (East Haven, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College softball team has been named the month of March Female Student-Athlete of the Month.

In March, Jessey was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honor Roll on March 18 after tallying 15 hits for the Falcons in their opening week of play in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

In her collegiate debut, she was 3-for-4 with one run scored.  In two other contests during the first week of play, she went 3-for-4 to lead Albertus as well.

In the month of March, Jessey recorded 20 hits in 40 at-bats to go along with seven RBI and 10 runs scored. She also registered three doubles and six stolen bases for the Falcons.

Jessey is majoring in business at Albertus Magnus College.
