Junior Carli Matrisian (Milford, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College softball team has been named the month of April Female Student-Athlete of the Month.

In April, Matrisian totaled 28 hits in 71 at-bats.  She added five doubles to her tally as well to go along with two home runs with one coming on April 13 and the other on April 19.  She also scored 13 times in the month of April.

Additionally, Matrisian tallied four stolen bases and 10 RBI to lead Albertus into the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament for the first time since the 2006 season.  The Falcons' 17 wins in 2014 also marked the most for the program since finishing the 2002 season with 23 victories.

Matrisian is majoring in sports management at Albertus Magnus College.
