Winthrop, Mass. - Junior Laura Anderson (East Haven, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College softball team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Pitcher of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

In her two appearances of the week, Anderson hurled two complete games while allowing two runs on six hits and no walks in 10 innings of work at the Fastpitch Dreams Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Anderson struck out seven batters and finished the week with a 0.70 ERA. At the plate, Anderson batted .353 (6-for-17) with four runs and belted her first home run of the season in the win over La Roche. She also finished the week with two doubles, four RBI and a .647 slugging percentage.  

Following the trip down south, Albertus remains on the road as the Falcons take on Brooklyn College on Tuesday, March 19. Game times are set for 3pm and 5pm.
