EAST HAVEN, Conn. – The Albertus Magnus College softball team gave back to its community on Saturday, Sept. 10, volunteering its time at the Special Olympics Connecticut-Unified Sports Fall Festival at Kennedy Memorial Field in East Haven, Conn.
Every fall, the softball program teams up with Special Olympics to hold a skills camp for the players. The skills challenges featured things like throwing, hitting, base running, and fielding. The Albertus Magnus softball players also performed a variety of other different services on Saturday for the unified sports teams, including keeping the scorebook for the games, keeping score, and announcing the games.
