Brooklyn, NY - The Albertus Magnus College Women's Basketball team dropped a 79-61 decision to host St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) on Thursday night. The Falcons struggled to find their shooting rhythm all night and couldn't overcome their shooting woes to their non-conference opponent.
St. Joe's (Brooklyn) took a 44-21 lead into halftime with the Falcons never quite regaining their shooting touch till midway through the second half of play. Freshman gaurd Lindsay Karle (Wallingford, CT/Lyman Hall) scored a game high 18 points while senior forward Bianca Brown (West Haven, CT/Career) had 10 points and a game high 17 rebounds.
St. Joe's (Brooklyn) had a balanced scoring attack with five players in double figures.
Albertus drops to 6-8, 1-3 GNAC while St. Joe's (Brooklyn) improves to 7-10, 1-0 HVWAC.
The Falcons look to rebound against Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponent Pine Manor College as they host the Gators on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
