Women's Basketball Releases 2024-25 Schedule

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team released its 2024-25 schedule.

Last season, the Falcons finished 20-7 overall and a third-place finish in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference after an 11-3 record and advancing to the GNAC Tournament Semifinals.

Albertus opens up its season at home inside The Nest as it hosts New Jersey City University on November 13. It's a rematch of an exciting game from the 2023-24 season as Diamond White hit a late three and Caitlyn Scott scored 36 points in an 82-75 win.

The Falcons will follow up their opener with road games at Farmingdale State and Amherst on November 16th and 19th, respectively.

On the weekend of November 22-23, Albertus travels to Rhode Island College (RIC) for the Anchorwomen Tip-Off Basketball Tournament, taking on Bates on day one, followed by a game against either the Massachusetts Institute of Technology or RIC.

The Falcons take on Baruch on the road on November 26 before the Thanksgiving holiday break and will return for a three-game homestand against Saint Joseph's (Long Island) on December 6th, Trinity College (Conn.) on December 9th and the United States Coast Guard Academy on December 12th. Last season, Albertus defeated Coast Guard, 83-77 on the road, which started an eight-game winning streak.

Albertus will wrap up its non-conference schedule with road games at Springfield on December 14 and Manhattanville on January 2 to kick off 2025.

Similar to last season, the Falcons will open up its GNAC schedule against Colby-Sawyer at home. Last season Albertus won an 80-57 game on the road behind 24 points and 10 rebounds from Jakara Murray-Leach.

The Falcons will head on the road for two straight GNAC games against Dean on January 7 and Lasell on January 11. Last season, the Falcons had an historic performance against the Bulldogs, winning 105-42 behind a program-record 20 three-pointers. The 63-point margin of victory was the second-largest all-time at Albertus.

Mitchell and Saint Joseph's College (Me.) come to the Nest on January 15th and 18th, respectively. Albertus led by as much as 24 points enroute to an 83-68 win last season.

Albertus heads back on the road to take on Johnson and Wales on January 21 and Rivier on January 25. Last season the Falcons defeated the Wildcats, 67-65 and the Raiders, 84-72 which began a five-game GNAC winning streak.

The Falcons host Elms on January 29 before heading to Norwich for a game on February 1st,  followed by a two-game homestand against Emmanuel and the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) on February 4th and 8th, respectively. Albertus beat Norwich, Emmanuel and Elms as part of the five-game winning streak last season.

The Falcons take on Anna Maria on February 12 and will host Regis on February 15 in their final home game of the season, which will also coincide with Senior Night. Albertus wraps up its regular season against New England College in a rematch of the GNAC Quarterfinals from a season ago, which the Falcons won, 86-67.

The GNAC tournament will begin on February 25.
