NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team embarks on its quest for the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship as it takes on Rivier on the road on Saturday, November 2 at 1 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
Albertus - seeded sixth in the tournament - finished its regular season 10-4-4 overall and 8-4-3 in the GNAC, which placed them in a three-way tie for fourth with 27 points with Lasell and Colby-Sawyer.
The Falcons clinched their no. 6 seed on Tuesday as they defeated the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.), 2-1 as Ejalam Bravo scored the game-winner in the 84th minute. Sophia Vescera (Prospect, Conn.) also scored for the Falcons.
The no. 3 Raiders finished their regular season 9-5-6 overall and 9-2-4 in the GNAC, finishing with 31 points.
The two teams faced each other once in the regular season at Rivier, which ended in a scoreless tie. Amy Stevens (Lincoln, R.I.) had four saves in net for Albertus.

Erina Ismaili (Middlebury, Conn.) leads the Falcons in goals with eight and in points with 19. She has a two-goal performance against Purchase on the season, and game-winning goals against both Elms and New England College. Her game-winner against NEC came in the 80th minute in the 1-0 win.

Ismaili is currently sixth all-time in goals in Albertus with 28 goals and seventh all-time in points with 64.

Vescera has six goals on the season, and along with Ismaili, scored two goals against Purchase. She also scored game-winners against Anna Maria and Purchase.

Tyler Stocking has eight assists on the season to lead the Falcons, which also puts her tied for seventh in the GNAC. She had a stretch of six assists in a four-game stretch earlier in the season, including back-to-back two assist performances against Anna Maria and Mitchell. Stocking also has three goals on the season, including the game-winner against Dean in a 2-0 win.

Amy Stevens (Lincoln, R.I.) is 10-3-4 in net and has five shutouts on the season, including one against Rivier. She is also second all-time in shutouts in Albertus history with 13.

The Falcons allowed the fourth fewest goals on the season in the GNAC with 19.

Rivier has 12 different goal scorers on the season, with Samantha Franks, Emily Harper, Maya Leach and Darcy Wright leading the Raiders with three each.

Harper leads the team with five assists and 11 points. She had a goal and an assist for three points against Norwich and a multi-assist performance against Anna Maria.

Bri Nugent is 9-3-5 in net this season for the Raiders and also has nine shutouts on the season. She is ranked first in the GNAC in shutouts and in save percentage at .826.
