  • DeCarli named Conference SID of the Year

    Albertus Magnus College Assistant Director of Athletics/Sports Information Director Kristen DeCarli was voted the 2012 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Sports Information Director of the Year. The announcement was made by GNAC Commissioner Joe Walsh in advance of the 2012 GNAC Professional Development Seminar on August 7 and 8 in Boston, Massachusetts. DeCarli will accept her award on the final day of the seminar.
  • 2011-12 GNAC All-Academic Team Announced

    The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced the All-Academic Team for the 2011-12 school year. Twenty-two student-athletes from Albertus Magnus College were among the 618 members of the Academic Team from 14 institutions in the conference.

  • Ramirez Named GNAC Coach of the Year; All-Conference Teams Announced

    Albertus Magnus men’s volleyball head coach Omar Ramirez has been named the 2012 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Coach of the Year as announced by the league office over the weekend. In just his second season at the helm of the program, Ramirez guided his team to a record-breaking year as the Falcons are currently 19-9 overall and will be making their first ECAC Tournament appearance on Saturday.

    The Albertus Magnus men’s volleyball team will head to Beverly, Massachusetts on Saturday, April 21 to take on the Endicott Gulls in the ECAC Tournament Semifinals. Albertus enters the postseason tournament as the No. 3 seed with an impressive 19-9 overall record. Saturday’s match will begin at 11:00 a.m.

  • Falcons Earn First-Ever Postseason Win; Down Wentworth 3-1

    The Albertus Magnus men’s volleyball team won three-straight sets en route to a 3-1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-16, 27-25) victory over Wentworth in the First Round of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament. The win marks the program’s first postseason victory as it was the Falcons’ first-ever appearance in the GNAC Tournament.

    Albertus Magnus College will celebrate the birthday of its mascot, Frankie the Falcon, in honor of Student-Athlete Appreciation Day on April 4. Student-Athlete Appreciation Day is honored annually on April 6 but with the day falling on Good Friday, Frankie’s birthday will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 4 at noon in the DeDominicis Dining Hall.
