DeCarli named Conference SID of the Year
Albertus Magnus College Assistant Director of Athletics/Sports Information Director Kristen DeCarli was voted the 2012 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Sports Information Director of the Year. The announcement was made by GNAC Commissioner Joe Walsh in advance of the 2012 GNAC Professional Development Seminar on August 7 and 8 in Boston, Massachusetts. DeCarli will accept her award on the final day of the seminar.

2011-12 GNAC All-Academic Team Announced
The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced the All-Academic Team for the 2011-12 school year. Twenty-two student-athletes from Albertus Magnus College were among the 618 members of the Academic Team from 14 institutions in the conference.

Celebrate Frankie’s Birthday/Student-Athlete Appreciation Day
Albertus Magnus College will celebrate the birthday of its mascot, Frankie the Falcon, in honor of Student-Athlete Appreciation Day on April 4. Student-Athlete Appreciation Day is honored annually on April 6 but with the day falling on Good Friday, Frankie’s birthday will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 4 at noon in the DeDominicis Dining Hall.

The Albertus Magnus women’s tennis team fell to the College of New Rochelle 5-4 in its final match of the 2011 season.

St. Joe's of Brooklyn Edges Falcons 5-4 in Women's Tennis
Na’Tasha Mesidor came from behind to win No. 2 singles on Sunday to lead the Albertus Magnus women’s tennis team in a close match-up against St. Joseph’s College of Brooklyn. The Falcons fell 5-4 on the afternoon but played in their best match of 2011.

The Suffolk University women's tennis team defeated Albertus Magnus 9-0 on Saturday afternoon in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference match-up in New Haven, Conn.

Women's Tennis Match at New Rochelle Postponed
The Albertus Magnus women's tennis match scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 12 at the College of New Rochelle has been postponed due to the anticipated inclement weather. The match will now be played on Tuesday, Oct. 18 in New Rochelle, N.Y. at 4:00 p.m.

Despite a tough battle against a strong and talented Great Northeast Athletic Conference opponent, the Albertus Magnus women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Johnson & Wales (R.I.) on Monday afternoon in New Haven, Conn.
