  • 2016-17 GNAC Academic All-Conference Honorees Announced

    Winthrop, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced its All-Academic Team for the 2016-17 school year. This year, 57 student-athletes from Albertus Magnus College were among the 893 members of the Academic Team from 12 full-time institutions and 12 associate member institutions in the conference.

    New Haven, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College baseball team wrapped up the 2017 regular season on Sunday afternoon as the Falcons lost a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) games to Lasell College at Rochford Field. The Falcons lost game one, 20-7, and fell, 17-5, in the night cap.

    Nashua, N.H. - The Albertus Magnus College baseball team swept Rivier University in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Holman Stadium. The Falcons cruised by the Radiers in game one 10-4 and held on in the night cap 7-5, despite the Raiders rallying three runs in the bottom of the seventh.

The Monks edged the Falcons, 8-4, in game one and defeated the Falcons 16-1 in the night cap.

    East Boston, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College baseball team was swept by Suffolk University on Thursday evening in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference double-header on Thursday evening at East Boston Memorial. The Falcons fell to the Rams 9-2 in game one and lost 4-3 in game two.

    New Haven, Conn. – The Albertus Magnus College baseball team improved to 8-12 on the season as the Falcons took down Mt. St. Vincent in a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday evening at Rochford field. The Falcons secured game one, 3-1, and triumphed 5-4 in the night in extra innings. Sophomore Mike Browne (New Fairfield, Conn.) allowed the game-winning run to score in the bottom of the 10th in game two to give the hosts the walk-off win.

    New Haven, Conn. – For the second time this season, freshman Brandon Clark (Cheshire, Conn.) and senior Andrew Scully (Stratford, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College baseball team have earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors for their performances in last week's contests. The two athletes led the Falcons to a record of 3-1 throughout the week, improving the team's overall record to 6-12.

Albertus Magnus defeated the AMCATS 11-3 in game one and triumphed in game two, 16-3.

    Myrtle Beach, S.C. – The Albertus Magnus College baseball team scored a total of 29 runs as the Falcons split a non-conference doubleheader against Lancaster Bible and Wells College. The Chargers took the morning game from the Falcons, 17-13, but the Falcons bounced back in the second defeating the Express, 16-5.
