  • 2017-18 GNAC Academic All-Conference Honorees Announced

    Winthrop, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced its All-Academic Team for the 2017-18 school year. This year, 57 student-athletes from Albertus Magnus College were among the 1,008 members of the Academic Team from 13 full-time institutions and 10 associate member institutions in the conference.

    Boston, Mass. - A grand slam by Albertus Magnus’ Brianna Whitfield (West Islip, N.Y.) in the fifth kept the game going, cutting Emmanuel’s lead in half, but the fifth-seeded Falcons could not catch up to the seventh-seeded Saints, who avoided elimination with a 9-5 victory in the GNAC Tournament outing Saturday afternoon at East Boston Memorial Park.

    Boston, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College softball team fell short against Saint Joseph’s of Maine, 7-3, on Thursday afternoon at East Boston Memorial Park in the second round of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) softball tournament. Following today’s loss, the Falcons will play in an elimination game on Saturday, May 5th against Emmanuel (Mass.) or Johnson & Wales.

    New Haven, Conn. - The fifth-seeded Albertus Magnus College softball team defeated eighth-seeded Lasell College, 6-5, in the First Round of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) softball tournament Wednesday afternoon at the Shea Softball Complex. The Falcons trailed the Lasers, 5-3, entering the bottom of the sixth, but the hosts rallied four three-runs on four hits to secure the home win.

    New Haven, Conn. – The Albertus Magnus College softball dropped a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) games to Saint Joseph's of Maine on Sunday afternoon at the Shea Softball Complex. The Monks defeated the Falcons in five innings, 9-1, in game one before sealing the sweep, 6-2.

The Saints took game one in five-innings, 13-4, but the Falcons bounced back taking the nightcap, 6-2.

The Falcons defeated the Blue Jays, 6-3, in the opener, but fell to the hosts, 8-3, in game two.

The Falcons edged past the Cadets in the opener, 9-7, but came up short, 5-4 in game two.

The Falcons topped the Pride, 6-2, in the opener, before capping the day with a 17-2 win in the night cap.
