    New Haven, CT - The Albertus Magnus College Men's Soccer team added a few more post-season awards following it's 15-6-1 record breaking season. In addition to their six All-Conference awards, Head Coach Jim Bernardo and sophomore defender Nick Hamasian (Hamden, CT/Hamden) garner Coach and Defensive Player of the Year awards respectively.

    Waltham, MA - Brandeis University sophomore midfielder Lee Russo (Westford, MA/Westford Academy) scored four goals to Brandeis University over the visiting Albertus Magnus College Falcons, 5-0, in the quarterfinals of the 2010 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Men's Soccer Championships.

    New Haven, CT - A record breaking 13-4-1 regular season finish, and a trip to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship and ECAC New England Tournament berth as the #5 seed was enough to garner several post-season awards. Six Falcons were named to the GNAC All-Conference team as Albertus Magnus won a program record 13 times during the regular season.

    The Albertus Magnus College Men's Soccer team was selected to compete in the 2010 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Men's Soccer Championship as a fifth seed on Wednesday at 6:00 pm against fourth seeded Brandeis University.

    (New Haven, CT) – Freshman goalkeeper Matt Esposito (Wallingford, CT) turned in a spectacular effort in net, stopping eight out of nine shots, and sophomore forward Ben Rollins (Lee, NH) earned Championship Game MVP honors, scoring just over 20 minutes into the game as the Suffolk University Men’s Soccer team captured the 2010 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship with a 2-1 win over Albertus Magnus College on Saturday, November 6 at Albertus Magnus College. With the win, Suffolk improves to 11-7-1 overall, and will compete in the NCAA Tournament for the first time.

Sophomore forward Alphonse Buccitti (West Haven, CT/Notre Dame) scored two goals while sophomore midfielder Steven Zapata (Hamden, CT/Hamden) tallied three assists for the Falcons.

    Newton, MA - The Albertus Magnus College Men's Soccer team earned a hardfought 2-2 tie in a thrilling Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) against Lasell College on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons held a 2-0 advantage late in the second half but couldn't hold the lead on a windy cold day. The final eight minutes of regulation provided game winning opportunities for both teams with eachother's goal keepers making stops forcing overtime. The two overtime periods continued to be physical with the match ultimately concluding in a 2-2 tie.

The win not only marked the 10th win of the year for the Falcons, (10-3, 4-1 GNAC) it vaulted them into a tie for second place in the GNAC.

Albertus wasted little time as in just the 3rd minute of play freshman midfielder Gabriel Goja (Naugatuck, CT/Naugatuck) finished a beautiful pass from sophomore forward Alphonse Buccitti (West Haven, CT/Notre Dame HS) to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead. Howard would find the back of the net for the first time in the 18th minute as he flicked the ball over the goalkeeper after receiving the pass from sophomore midfielder Steve Zapata (Hamden, CT/Hamden).

    Boston, MA - The Albertus Magnus College Men's Soccer team had their seven game winning streak snapped on Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 loss to Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponent Emerson College. Emerson College used a pair of header goals in the first half to take a 2-0 lead over the Falcons, eventually earning a 4-0 victory over Albertus.

    New Haven, CT - The Albertus Magnus College Men's Soccer Team won their fourth straight victory as they defeated visiting Norwich University 2-1 late in the second half. After a scoreless first half, that saw Albertus outshoot Norwich 12-5, they found the back of the net in the 69th minute.

    Chesthut Hill, MA - The Falcons defeated Wheelock College 8-0 on Wednesday afternoon to win their third straight victory. Junior Victor Kashouh (Providence, RI/Classical) turned away 21 shots for Wheelock, with 11 coming in the second stanza. Freshman goalkeeper Donato Piroscafo (Naugatuck, CT) made two saves to preserve the shutout.
