2019-20 GNAC Academic All-Conference Honorees Announced
June 26, 2020Winthrop, Mass. - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced its All-Academic Team for the 2019-20 school year. This year, 52 student-athletes from Albertus Magnus College were among the 1,173 members of the Academic Team from 13 full-time institutions and nine associate member institutions in the conference. -

99 Student-Athletes Named to Fall 2019 Dean's List
February 04, 2020New Haven, Conn.- Albertus Magnus College announced its Dean List recipients for the Fall 2019 academic semester. Over the fall semester, the Falcons placed 44% (99) of their total student-athletes from across 15 different intercollegiate sports on Dean’s List. In addition, the Falcons had 24 students receive a GPA of 4.0 for the Fall semester.

Colavolpe Steps Down as Albertus' Head Men's Soccer Coach
January 15, 2020New Haven, Conn. – The Albertus Magnus College Department of Athletics has announced that Brett Colavolpe, Head Men’s Soccer Coach has resigned from his position to continue his 13-year tenure as a full-time mathematics teacher at Hillhouse High School. Albertus will conduct a national search to replace Colavolpe as the head men’s soccer coach.

Oumorou Named GNAC Offensive Player of the Year, Joins Lopez on All-Conference Teams
November 11, 2019WINTHROP, Mass. – After an outstanding junior season, striker Salah Oumorou (West Haven, Conn.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Offensive Player of the Year and made the All-Conference First Team, as announced by the league office Monday. Freshman midfielder Carlos Lopez (Bridgeport, Conn.) also appeared on the All-GNAC list, taking home Third Team honors.

Albertus Magnus Athletics to Host Unified Soccer Tournament
October 22, 2019The campus is buzzing in the midst of a stellar soccer season for Albertus Magnus College! Both the men’s and women’s teams have winning records, and the college recently announced that it will host this year’s Unified Sports Soccer Tournament in conjunction with CIAC/Special Olympics Unified Sports-partnering athletes with and without disabilities on athletic teams for training and competition. There will be a total of nine teams in the tournament this year. Members of the Albertus Magnus men’s and women’s soccer teams will serve as referees and coaches for the players.
