October 20, 2010On Wednesday October 13, the Albertus Magnus College Women’s Soccer team visited Amity High School Region #5 for the Southern Connecticut Conference (SCC) Unified Soccer Tournament. Unified Sports provides an opportunity for students with special needs to participate in interscholastic athletics. The Unified Sports Program partners special needs students with non-disabled peers for team competitions. -

October 19, 2010New Haven, CT - The Albertus Magnus College Women's Soccer team used an overtime goal off the leg of freshman forward Sam Corso (Derby, CT/Derby) to defeat Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponent Simmons College on Tuesday afternoon. Corso finished a ball off the post after junior forward Krystal Quinones blasted a shot off of sophomore goal keeper Ashley Donaghey (Framingham, MA/Framingham) in the 93rd minute. -

The Falcons tied their opponents in shots at 13 each but failed to find the back of the net for just the third time this season. -
Dineson Named GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week
September 28, 2010New Haven, CT - Freshman Goalkeeper Christina Dineson (Milford, CT/Foran) was named Goalkeeper of the week by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference after an incredible week of play in which she led the Falcons to a 3-0 record with wins over Mitchell College and GNAC wins over Pine Manor College and Emerson College. During that stretch, Dineson recorded a 4-0 shutout over GNAC opponent Emerson College. -
Lady Falcons Win Eighth Straight Game 4-0 Over Emerson
September 25, 2010Boston, MA - Junior forward Krystal Quinones (Bridgeport, CT/Notre Dame Fairfield) wasted little time scoring in just the 3rd minute of play on a rebound finish from senior forward Samantha Gigliotti (Wolctt, CT/Sacred Heart Waterbury) to give Albertus the 1-0 lead. Albertus would cruise to a 4-0 victory taking sole possesion of first place in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference standings. Albertus (8-2, 5-0 GNAC) is in the midst of a program record eight game winning streak and is the only undefeated team left in the GNAC. -

September 15, 2010Newton, MA - The Albertus Magnus College Women's Soccer Team won it's fourth straight game behind two goals from sophomore forward Danielle Figueroa (Bridgeport, CT).
